The report covers all specialist study findings, impact assessment and mitigation measures. Please review and send any comments by 2 June 2026 — this is the statutory deadline for the public comment period.

The ecological specialist study for Riverside Solar is complete. No critically endangered species were recorded on site during the field survey. The ecologist did note the presence of an Endangered grassland patch in the north-eastern corner — we’ve adjusted the project layout to avoid this area entirely. This is very good news for your timeline and approval prospects.

We have successfully registered 47 Interested and Affected Parties (I&APs) for the Riverside Solar project. This includes the local municipality, neighbouring landowners, community representatives and relevant government departments. The Draft BAR will be distributed to all registered I&APs simultaneously when it’s ready.

Your Water Use Licence application for the Thornfield project has been submitted to the Department of Water and Sanitation (DWS) Mpumalanga regional office. Reference number: DWS/MP/2026/0847. The statutory processing period is 300 days. We will follow up with DWS monthly and update you on any developments.
